(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On March 30, 2017, at 3:30 p.m., a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police was on general patrol in the downtown area of Parry Sound when he was alerted to a shoplifter.
An investigation into the complaint ensued and it has determined that a male and a female had attended two businesses in the downtown core and stolen various goods.
As a result of the investigation;
Ryian CHEVRETTE, 35 years of age from Parry Sound was charged with;
Theft Under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC),
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC
Fail To Comply With Prohibition Order, contrary to section 162.2(4) of the CC
Carla WILLIAMS, 24 years of age from Parry Sound was charged with;
Theft Under $5000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC,
Possession of Property Obtained By Crime Under $5000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of CC
The accused persons were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on April 6, 2017.
