Two Charged In Robbery – GOODCHILD & WALSH

(ORILLIA, ON) – On Sunday February 05, 2017 the Orillia Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Robbery at a local business on Mississaga Street in Orillia.

At approximately 7:20 p.m. police were dispatched to an Orillia business on Mississaga Street with reports of a Robbery. Before police arrived on the scene the suspects had left however a description was given to responding officers. Officers responding to the call saw a male and female in the area matching the descriptions of the suspects. As a result of police investigation the male and female were arrested.

Police have charged Orillia resident, Terry GOODCHILD, age 40 with the following offences:

Robbery Contrary to Section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

Obstruct Peace Officer Contrary to Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code

Possession of a Schedule I Substance Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Possession of a Schedule II Substance Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Police have also charged Orillia resident, Meghan WALSH, age 29 with the following offences:

Robbery Contrary to Section 344(1)(b) of the Criminal Code

Obstruct Peace Officer Contrary to Section 129(a) of the Criminal Code

Possession of a Schedule I Substance Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Possession of a Schedule II Substance Contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Breach of Probation Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.

Both of the ACCUSED were held for a bail hearing On February 06, 2017 in Barrie.
