Two Charged In Drug Bust – DANARD & WHITLOCK

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – In the early afternoon of January 11, 2017 members of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Community Drug Action Team (CDAT); Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB); and North West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) executed a search warrant at a local residence in Fort Frances, Ontario. In executing the warrant a quantity of cocaine, cannabis marihuana, and crime related proceeds were seized.

As a result of the investigation two males identified as John DANARD (52-years old) and Richard WHITLOCK (41-years old) of Fort Frances, Ontario have been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I Substance, cocaine, for the Purpose of Trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)

Possession of a Schedule II substance, cannabis marihuana, contrary to Section 4(1) of the CDSA

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code

John DANARD was held in custody and will appear in Fort Frances Criminal Court on January 12, 2017. Richard WHITLOCK is to appear in Fort Frances Criminal Court on March 6, 2017.
