On Wednesday evening Owen Sound Police were called to the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue East regarding an intoxicated male who was wandering in and out of traffic. Police responded and arrested the male. Investigation also revealed that the man had damaged a mirror of passing vehicle. A 26 year old Southampton man was subsequently charged with mischief, breach of probation and being intoxicated in a public place. He has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Owen Sound Court on April 16th.
Early Thursday morning Owen Sound Police arrested a 23 year old Owen Sound man for outstanding arrest warrants. While in police custody the man became hostile and aggressive and spit on one of the officers. As a result the man was charged with three further offences as a result of his behaviour following his arrest. They include assaulting a peace officer and 2 counts of breaching his probation. The man was remanded into custody this morning at the Owen Sound Court.
