(POINT EDWARD, ON) – On October 13, 2016 at approximately 1:00 a.m. a member of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was performing general patrol duties on Kendall Street within the Village of Point Edward.
At this time the OPP observed two adult males to be located with an area primarily used for commercial purposes. In light of the circumstances and additional investigation it was revealed that the males were in possession of tools typically used to perform break and enters.
As a result, Edward BRENNAN, 19 years-of-age of Sarnia, Ontario was charged with allegedly possess break- in instruments and breach of probation and must appear at the Sarnia Court House on November 21, 2016. In addition, Devan WORLEY, 26 years-of-age of Sarnia Ontario was charged with allegedly possess break- in instruments and failing to comply with a recognizance and was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Sarnia Court House on October 13, 2016.
The Village of Point Edward has fallen victim to several property related crimes in recent months. This is the sixth property related arrest the OPP has made in the past few months within the Village. The OPP will remain vigilant and undaunted in policing their communities!
