Two Arrested In Shooting Incident

Brampton – Members from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested two male parties responsible for a shooting. On Thursday November 17, 2016, at approximately 4:33 p.m., the victim, a 49 year-old male from Brampton, was shot in the area of Morton Way and Talon Gate in the City of Brampton.

On Friday November 18, 2016 police arrested two male parties from Brampton who were charged with numerous offences including Attempted Murder. The two males were held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice on today’s date.

For investigative purposes, Peel Police are not releasing the names of the accused at this time.

Investigators are confident that this was not a random attack putting the public at risk, but a targeted and isolated incident.

Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau is asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have information about this matter, to call them at (905) 453-2121, Ext. 2233. Information leading to the identification of any of the suspects may qualify for a cash reward.
