(Prince Edward County, ON)— On July 05, 2015 at 8:58am officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment stopped a motor vehicle in Rossmore. The motor vehicle was involved in a number of thefts in Napanee, Belleville and Prince Edward County. OPP arrested both occupants.
A 47-year old female, Joy MACRAE of Belleville is charged with; Breaking, Entering and Committing contrary to Section 348(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada, two counts of Theft contrary to Section 334 of the Criminal Code of Canada and five counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to Section 354(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. MACRAE was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton, on August 12, 2015.
A 47-year old Belleville man is also charged with Breaking, Entering and Committing contrary to Section 348(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada, five counts of Theft contrary to Section 334 of the Criminal Code of Canada and five counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to Section 354(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing today in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
Police recovered stolen tools, electronics, house hold appliances, food and liquor.
ATV OPERATOR IMPAIRED
(Prince Edward County, ON)— On July 04, 2015 at 4:11pm officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment assisted Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Enforcement officers. MNR stopped an ATV within the Point Petre Provincial Wildlife Area and the driver appeared to have been consuming alcohol.
OPP charged the male operator, 49-year old Johnathon KNAPMAN of Picton with Operating While Impaired contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada, Operation With Over 80mgs of Alcohol contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada and Operation While Disqualified contrary to Section 259(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was later released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on July 29, 2015.
OPP ARREST IMPAIRED DRIVER
(Prince Edward County, ON)— On July 4, 2015 at 2:08am an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment stopped a motor vehicle on Loyalist Parkway, Bloomfield. The male driver appeared to have been consuming alcohol.
A 54-year old man, Clifford FRASER of Picton is charged with Operating While Impaired contrary to Section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada and Operation With Over 80mgs of Alcohol contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released from police custody on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on August 26, 2015.
