Two Arrested For Theft From Vehicles

(REDNERSVILLE, ON) – On August 27th, 2016 the Prince Edward County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated several thefts from motor vehicles which were reported in the Rednersville area overnight.

Police responded to a residence on County Road 3, after a homeowner confronted the suspects and an altercation ensued. The homeowner and suspect were both injured during the incident. The injuries were minor, and no medical attention was received. Police attended the area, and with the assistance of OPP Canine unit, and Belleville Police Service (BPS), two adult males have been arrested and are currently in custody.

The accused have been identified as:

Norman Richard WALSH, aged 41 years, of No Fixed Address, and;

David Bronson HENNESSEY, aged 24 years, of Belleville Ontario.

Both accused are charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and will appear for a Show Cause hearing on August 29th, 2016 at the Provincial Court of Justice in Belleville Ontario. The investigation is ongoing and further charges are pending. No additional information will be released at this time.
