(ALNWICK-HALDIMAND TWP, ON) – (September 18, 2014) Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a substantial senior fraud on a couple from Alnwick-Haldimand Township that has been happening over a period of months. The senior couple has been defrauded money from their bank account and line of credit.
As a result of an investigation by the Northumberland OPP Crime Unit, the losses to the seniors were determined to be in excess of $18,000. The following two people have been arrested and charged with Fraud Over $5,000.
1) Agbons IZE-IYAMU age 27 of Toronto, ON
2) Rachael ELEMA age 39 of Burlington, ON
Both the male and female were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on August 19, 2015.
