(WEST PERTH, ON) – A resident of the Municipality of West Perth arrived home to find a male and female who had broken into his property. The resident immediately contacted police, and the pair were arrested at an address on Perth Road 145 on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 4:00 p.m.
Twenty-five-year old James Ryan BAILLIE of the Municipality of West Perth was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Break and enter a dwelling house;
Possession of a prohibited weapon;
Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order;
Possession of property obtained by crime;
Possession of schedule I substance (methamphetamine); and
Possession of property over $5000.00
Fifty-three-year old Colleen BAILLIE of the Municipality of West Perth was arrested and charged with the following offence:
Break and enter a dwelling house.
Further investigation revealed that the female was currently wanted by another police service, and she was also arrested on the strength of the outstanding warrant.
Both were held for bail hearings. The male was later released on a Recognizance of Bail; the female remains in custody.
