Truck Engulfs Into Flames

(TECUMSEH, ON) Tecumseh OPP officers are currently at a non-suspicious truck fire in the 14000 block of Tecumseh Rd, Tecumseh. An insulation company’s state truck was parked in a parking lot when the occupants heard an explosion from the interior of the cargo area of the truck, the vehicle quickly engulfed into flames. The two occupants were able to jump out of the vehicle without injury. Tecumseh Fire and Rescue responded and extinguished the fire. Clean up crew are on scene, and police are asking motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area.

No one was hurt, and the incident started at approximately 5:45pm. Damage is estimated at $30,000. No other vehicles or property appeared to be damaged.

The area with have restricted access until 9:00pm while crew clean up the area.
