Troy ANTONE – Flight From Police, Refuse To Blow

(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – In the early morning hours of July 21, 2015, Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police observed a motor vehicle overtake another on Ballpark Road.

Officers initiated a traffic stop of the red Ford car, and determined that the male driver had been drinking alcohol.

The driver failed to comply with a breath demand, and proceeded to put his vehicle into motion, leaving the scene at a high rate of speed. With assistance from the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the vehicle was located a short time later at a residence, and the driver subsequently turned himself over to police.

As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Troy ANTONE, from Southwold, Ontario, was arrested, and has been charged with fail or refuse to provide sample 254(2), flight while pursued by peace officer, and driving while disqualified – provincial suspension, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on August 25, 2015.
