(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On Thursday April 24th, 2014 around 11:30am Quinte West OPP responded to an emergency call regarding a domestic dispute in progress at a residence on Telephone Road in the City of Quinte West. At the residence, Police were met by a female victim who disclosed that she had just been assaulted by her common-law partner. The victim did not require medical treatment. Further investigation revealed that a number of items in the common-law home had been damaged during the dispute. Approximately 30 minutes later Quinte West OPP arrested and charged a 33 year old Trenton man with two counts of assault and mischief under $5000. The man was located on Front Street in Trenton. The man was held for bail and will appear in court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on April 25th, 2014.
