Travis SCHWEYER – Over 80, Drive While Suspended, etc

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 32-year-old male with drinking and driving offences following an investigation into a traffic complaint that occurred at an Argyle Street South, Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario address.

On Monday September 26, 2016, at approximately 8:29 p.m., OPP responded to Argyle Street South for a traffic complaint that was reported by a concerned citizen.

OPP located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the male driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment by alcohol and arrested the driver.

OPP has charged 32-year-old Travis SCHWEYER of Caledonia, Ontario with care or control of a motor vehicle while impaired, care or control of a motor vehicle with more than 80mg of alcohol, driving while disqualified and driving while under suspension.

The vehicle was towed from the location and impounded for 45 days.

He is to appear in Provincial Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
