On November 18, 2013, at 11:44 a.m., the Guelph Police investigated a collision that occurred on Wyndham Street South at the train bridge. It is alleged that a 2005 Freightliner transport truck and trailer were southbound when the roof of the trailer struck the bridge crash beam causing minor damages. After striking the crash beam the driver continued southbound towards Wellington Street. Police have located the responsible driver and transport truck.
The 38-year-old driver from Brampton will to be summonsed to court for disobey sign” and “failing to report damages to property on highway.”
