(BANCROFT, Ontario) – On the 01st of October 2016, officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. program in Faraday Township when a vehicle was stopped to check for driver sobriety.
Upon speaking to the occupants of the vehicle, officers learned that they had been consuming alcohol and had controlled drugs in their possession. The driver of the motor vehicle was also the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant.
As a result of the investigation, Calvin PARNIS, 45 years of Haldimand County, was charged with Breach of Recognizance; Possess Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking; Possess Unmarked Cigarettes; Drive with Seatbelt Removed; Fail to Surrender Permit and Fail to Have Insurance Card. He was held for bail.
Adam ARMSTRONG, 28 years of Carlow-Mayo Township, was charged with Fail to Comply with an Undertaking and Possess Schedule II Substance. He was held for bail.
Alexander CAMERON, 54 years from Toronto, was charged with Possess Schedule II Substance. This accused was released on a Promise to Appear for the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on November 8th, 2016.
