(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On July 4, 2015, at 4:41 p.m., a member of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on general patrol in Parry Sound. A licence plate query of a westbound black vehicle on Seguin Street showed that the plate was unattached. A traffic stop was conducted and as a result of the investigation approximately $5,000 in stolen property was recovered.
The driver, Jordan DODDRIDGE, 21 years of age from Edmonton, Alberta was charged with:
· Possession of a schedule II substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams as per the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act (CDSA).
· Theft under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code (CC) (4 counts).
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 contrary to the CC (5 counts).
· Mischief under $5000 contrary to the CC (2 counts).
· Possession of explosive substance contrary to Probation Order, contrary to the CC.
· Fail to comply with Probation Order contrary to the CC.
· Operate a motor vehicle without insurance contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
Noel DODDRIDGE, 40 years of age from Edmonton Alberta was charged with:
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 contrary to the CC (5 counts).
· Possession of explosive substance contrary to Probation Order, contrary to the CC (4 counts).
A 17 year old male young offender of Edmonton, Alberta is also charged with the following offences:
· Theft under $5000 contrary to the CC (4 counts).
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 contrary to the CC (5 counts).
· Fail to comply with recognizance contrary to the CC.
· Fail to comply with undertaking contrary to the CC.
· Mischief under $5000 contrary to the CC.
