Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Charges

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) On July 29, 2011 a Huron OPP officer conducted a routine traffic stop on Princess Street in Clinton. Upon speaking to the male driver, he advised the officer that he had open alcohol in the vehicle. The officer searched the vehicle and located the alcohol. The search also revealed two bundles of suspected methamphetamine, as well as numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia.

The male driver, Tadd SMITH (29) of Huron East and his male passenger, Eric FRY (30) of Mitchell were both arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. The males will answer to the charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on October 17, 2011. LP11209944
