(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On January 11, 2014, just before midnight, Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers stopped a Chrysler vehicle on Highway 40 at Park Avenue East.
While officers were speaking with the driver, 37 year old Terry LOVE, from Blenheim, ON, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages.
Subsequent tests indicated that the driver was over the legal limit and he will appear in a Chatham court on January 24, 2014, to answer to the charge of Driving With More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood.
Chatham-Kent OPP would like to remind drivers that there is no safe amount of alcohol consumption when driving. If you consume alcoholic beverages, plan for a safe ride home by using a designated driver, a taxi or public transit to ensure that you and others sharing the road arrive safely.
