(KENORA, ON) – Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop shortly after midnight on Highway 17a on Monday, October 14, 2013. As police conducted their investigation on the roadside, it was determined the two occupants were in possession of marijuana. The occupants were arrested and the vehicle searched. Police located approximately 12 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle.
As a result of this investigation 20 year old Dylan PATTISON and 26 year old Jason THOMSON, both of Fort Frances have been charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking. They are to appear in Kenora Court on December 5, 2013 to answer to the charge.
The street value of the drugs is estimated to be $36,000.00.
