(Hawkesbury, ON) – On the 21st of January 2014, at approximately 8:30 pm, Constable Marc Lauzon intercepted a white 2010 Mazda 3 at the corner of Stanley and Higginson Streets in the Town of Hawkesbury.
During the execution of the traffic stop, the driver and passenger were found in possession of illicit drugs. Further investigation revealed that the licence plates on the vehicle were not valid.
The driver, Patrick LAMOTHE (27 yrs) of Rockland was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with section 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with section 7(1)(a) Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit.
The passenger, Lucie LALONDE (22 yrs) of Hawkesbury was arrested and charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act with section 4(1) Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Other Drugs (Tylenol 3).
They were released and are scheduled to appear in court on February 19th in L’Orignal.
