(MATHESON) – The Matheson Ontario Provincial Police has charged a 24 year old male driver with a traffic offence stemming from a traffic complaint received regarding the vehicle being allegedly driven in an unsafe manner on October 15th on Hwy 101, in German Twp., east of Timmins.
A short while later, an Ontario Provincial Police officer located the vehicle that was the subject of the driving complaint, as well as the complainant’s vehicle.
A statement was taken from the complainant outlining the alleged offences of following too closely and using high beams while following the complainant’s vehicle.
The suspect’s vehicle driver was stopped and interviewed by the OPP officer.
As a result of the investigation into the driving complaint, Kyle LELIEVRE, 24, of Timmins, Ontario, has been charged with Fail to Use Lower Beam While Following Traffic contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
The South Porcupine OPP reminds the motoring public that the obligation to drive safely applies to all motorists.
