Traffic Complaint Leads To Arrest Of Impaired Driver

(LONDON, ON) – On August 9, 2019, at approximately 10:30 a.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 402, in the City of London.

Members of the Middlesex OPP were able to locate the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. Upon further investigation, police determined that the driver was impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to a police station for further testing.

As a result of the police investigation, Gregory ALPHONSO, 49-year-old of Ajax, Ontario was charged with Operation while impaired – drugs and alcohol, pursuant to the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).

The accused is scheduled to appear in a London court room on September 23, 2019.
