(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On July 6, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint related to a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Highway 35 near Golf Course Road.
An OPP officer was able to locate the vehicle on Highway 35 near Highway 7 and subsequently stopped the vehicle. The officer did not have concerns regarding the impairment of the driver but investigation did reveal that the driver was suspended from driving.
As a result of the investigation Troy O’NEILL, 37 years of age, of Omemee, was charged with driving while suspended, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on August 12, 2014.
