(OXFORD COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has been investigating several break, enter and thefts that occurred in various locations between February 2009 and April 2015 at various locations.
On February 17, 2009, Halton Regional Police received a report of a John Deere tractor, model 3320, valued at approximately $35,000 was stolen from a business located in Burlington.
Sometime between February 22 and February 25, 2013, OPP received report of a 2009 John Deere tractor, model 6140, valued at approximately $66,000 from an address on Windham Road 5 in Norfolk County.
On March 19, 2015, OPP received report of a 2002 John Deere tractor, model 6220, valued at approximately $40,000 was stolen from an address on Highway 2 in Brant County.
On March 28, 2015, OPP received report of a 2005 John Deere tractor, model 7820, valued at approximately $90,000 was stolen from an address on Beaconsfield Road in Norwich Township of Oxford County.
On April 22, 2015, OPP received report of John Deere tractor, model 7830, valued at approximately $135,000 was stolen from an address on McBay Road in Brant County.
As a result of investigation members of the Oxford County Street Team have recovered all five (5) John Deere tractors. Arrested and charged is 49-year-old Robert BRAUN of Norfolk County under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Theft of Motor Vehicle (3 counts)
Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada (4 counts)
The male was released on a Promise to Appear on June 21, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock.
