Tractor Trailer Rollover Update – Jashansit CHEEMA Charged

(Chatham-Kent, ON) On the 19th of September, 2013 at 1:44 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a single vehicle collision on the 401 Highway westbound near Kent Bridge Road.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a tractor-trailer loaded with 32000 kgs of auto parts drove into the median, it then drove back onto the roadway and rolled on its side in the passing lane. The driver was transported to hospital with minor injuries. Fatigue is believed to be a factor in the collision.

Jashansit CHEEMA, a 24 year old from Windsor, Ontario man has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act,
