(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Thursday, May 5, 2016 at approximately 8:11 am, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a single vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 527 and Highway 11/17.
The driver of a tractor trailer (hauling woodchips) was west bound from Highway 527 entering the on ramp onto Highway 11/17, when the tractor trailer rolled over onto the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The driver sustained non life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance. The tractor portion of the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
The 33 year old male driver from Thunder Bay was charged with Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
