(Oro-Medonte, ON)- On Thursday September 26th 2013 at approximately 10:00 AM a tractor trailer traveling northbound on Highway 11 through Oro-Medonte Twp had two wheels fall off striking a car traveling in the same direction. The 42 year old female driver was taken to Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia where she was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Members of the Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Technical Traffic Collision Investigator (TTCI) commenced an investigation with the assistance of the Ministry of Transportation. As a result of the investigation the trucking company, Canada Cartage Diversified GP INC will be charged with wheel separation – commercial motor vehicle.
