(City of Kawartha Lakes, ON) – Numerous calls by the public led to the arrest of a tractor trailer driver on Highway 115 on Monday evening. Several drivers on Highway 115 called into the Provincial Communication Centre (PCC) advising of a vehicle all over the road. Members of the Peterborough County OPP stopped the southbound truck near Porter Road. A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) was utilized and determined the driver to be impaired by drugs.
Pawanpreet BUTTAR (age 29) of Brampton has been charged with Impaired Driving, possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine. The accused is due to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on January 22, 2014.
