(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 51-year-old male after investigating a single motor vehicle involving a tractor trailer that occurred on Concession Road 12 Walpole at County Line Road in Walpole Township, Haldimand County, Ontario.
On Friday November 25, 2016, at approximately 6:40 p.m., OPP responded to Concession Road 12 Walpole for a collision where it was reported that a tractor trailer was in the ditch at the intersection.
OPP investigation has determined that the tractor trailer was travelling on Concession Road 12 Walpole approaching County Line Road when the driver could not negotiate the turn in the road and collided with the ditch.
The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured.
There were no other vehicles involved in the collision.
OPP has charged 51-year-old James COURTNEY of Norfolk County, Ontario with careless driving under The Highway Traffic Act.
