(BLIND RIVER, ON) – On June 15, 2016 at 2:21 p.m., members of the East Algoma Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 17 in the Town of Iron Bridge.
An eastbound tractor trailer’s load appeared to be over extended on the flatbed trailer. At 10:17 p.m. police observed the tractor trailer that matched the description travelling eastbound on Causley Street in the Town of Blind River. A traffic stop was initiated. Police observed an over extended load on the flatbed trailer. The flatbed trailer load was measured and officers determined the load was greater than the allowed 2.6 metres width.
Simrenjit SIDHU, 39 years of age, from Brantford, Ontario, was issued a provincial offence notice and charged with: Over Width Load, contrary to section 109(2) of the Highway Traffic Act.
