(COLBORNE, ON) – At 9:30am today, Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a tractor-trailer striking the center median of the eastbound lanes near County Road 25. Witnesses advised police that the truck drifted over into the median and travelled approximately 500m while scraping along the railing.
No other vehicles were involved and the driver was not injured. All lanes of the highway remained open and the truck was towed from the scene. The cause for the collision is unknown at this time.
The 50 year old male driver from Oshawa, was charged with Careless Driving.
