(CALEDON, ON) – Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complainant from the Town of Caledon with regards to a Fraud. The incident involved an employee who is no longer employed with the town.
On May 25, 2016 Michael Wilfred BEATTIE, 50, of Brantford was arrested and charged with the following offences:
Fraud Over $5,000
Laundering Proceeds of Crime
Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on June 23, 2016 to answer to the charges.
Presently, this investigation is still in progress.
