At the August 2nd council meeting, Council endorsed the practice of issuing press releases to WFP & BFP. Several weeks ago, our IT consultant created a simple interface to allow Town Hall to quickly add press releases directly in to the archive. All Council members were emailed about the proposal, many of which responded promptly and positively. Town Hall can now activate our Emergency Broadcast System.
All of Town Hall’s press releases will be prominently displayed on our site. These press releases are added directly to the archive unedited, this will ensure that Town Hall gets their message out exactly as they desire.
We would like to encourage Town Hall to issue press releases about all upcoming council meetings, events, agendas, proposed by-laws, tenders, public advisories, etc.
