On Monday December 8, 2014 at approximately 9:31 AM police responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Ottawa Street North and Dreger Avenue, in the city of Kitchener. The collision involved a 1997 Mercedes sedan, driven by a 29 year old male, and a 1997 Western Star tow truck, driven by a 25 year old male. Both vehicles were travelling southbound on Ottawa Street when they collided. A female passenger was transported to Grand River Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and the sedan was not in drivable condition. The driver of the truck was charged with Change Lanes Not in Safety. Any witnesses to the incident are requested to contact the Waterloo Regional Police Service at 519-653-7700 ext. 4499.
