TOOLS TAKEN IN BREAK AND ENTER

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a Break and Enter at a Ordnance Avenue , Turkey Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

Between Friday, November 1, 2013 and Saturday, November 16, 2013, unknowns attended the address and gained entry into a garage and shed located on the property. Once inside, unknown’s removed a large quantity of tools.

The tools consisted of air compressors, skillsaws, mitre saws, socket sets, impact drivers, impact drills, hammer drills and an 18 volt Dewalt drill.

The theft is estimated at approximately $6,300 dollars.

The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.

“The OPP encourage property owners to make frequent checks of their vacation property during the “off-season” to ensure everything is secure. If travel time limits the number of opportunities to check in, arrangements should be made with a trusted friend or campground affiliate who will randomly check your property for you. This tried and tested method is the best deterrent against crime”, comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County, OPP.

The OPP continue to appeal to persons living in and around trailer parks and/or cottages to report any and all suspicious activity to police when it happens.
