The Perth County OPP has investigated a number of similar thefts from construction trailers at rural and agricultural job sites. Although it may be convenient for contractors to leave trailers filled with tools at these sites, criminals also take advantage of the convenience. The majority of tool thefts from these trailers have occurred from sites that are poorly lit, have low volumes of traffic and have no nearby residences. Contractors are urged to remove their trailers when leaving uninhabited or un-surveilled job sites at night.
The Perth County OPP is requesting anyone with information about this theft to contact them at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000
