Todd HILLMAN – Impaired Driving

(TECUMSEH, ON) – On August 22, 2016 at approximately 1:30 p.m., an alert motorist contacted the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) as she followed a blue Dodge being operated erratically, eastbound on South Talbot Road in the Municipality of Tecumseh, Ontario.

The motorist followed as the driver of the Dodge dangerously weaved between lanes at varying speeds, almost entering the ditch on occasion and narrowly avoiding striking several oncoming vehicles.

The suspect vehicle then stopped and idled in the middle of the roadway with its turn signal illuminated prior to police arrival.

Members of the Tecumseh Detachment of the OPP attended and found a man passed out behind the wheel of the vehicle. The man exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.

Todd HILLMAN, age 51 of Tilbury, Ontario will appear in a Windsor Court on September 19, 2016 to face charges of Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol and Fail or Refuse to Provide Breath Sample.

The OPP applaud the motoring public for contacting police when they witness erratic driving behaviour. Assistance from the public is essential in our continuing efforts to keep our roadways safe.
