(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On October 12, 2015 at approximately 9:26 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Kortright Road, Guelph. A woman driving a 2004 Pontiac was observed well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 130km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
41-year-old Tina DANESE of Guelph-Eramosa Township has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 18, 2015 to answer to the charge.
