Timothy Buckley – Drive Snowmobile While Under Suspension

(PALMERSTON, ON) On February 16, 2013 at about 9:52am, County of Wellington OPP officers were performing snowmobile spot checks on York Street near Main Street in Palmerston. As the officers were speaking with the operators of five snowmobiles, one of the snowmobiles left the scene. The identity of the operator was quickly obtained from the group, and police attended a William Street address in Palmerston and spoke to the male operator, who was unlicensed.

31 year old Palmerston resident Timothy Buckley has been charged with Driving while suspended, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph court on April 03, 2013 to answer to the charges.

County of Wellington OPP would like to remind snowmobile operators that to operate a snowmobile along a highway a person must be 16 yrs. old and possesses a valid driver’s license or a motorized snow vehicle operator’s license, and to operate a snowmobile upon a trail, the person must have a valid driver’s license or reached the full age of twelve years; and possesses a motorized snow vehicle operator’s license.
