Tilbury Man Charged with Failing to Comply

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for failing to comply with his release conditions.

On January 21, 2014, the man was released from custody with several conditions. Two of the conditions stated that he was to reside at a specific Tilbury address and to obey a daily curfew of 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Shortly after midnight on February 5, 2014, police attended the man’s residence and he was not home. Police further learned that the man was no longer living at the address as directed.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. yesterday, policed located the man on Harvey Street in Chatham and he was arrested. The 31-year-old man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
