THUNDER BAY OPP INVESTIGATE NUMEROUS BREAK, ENTER AND THEFTS AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS

(THUNDER BAY, ON) Recently, officers from the Thunder Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were advised of numerous break, enter, and thefts that occurred to camps located on Max Lake which is approximately 90 kms north of the junction of Highway 11/17 and Highway 527.

There have been further reports of break enter and thefts that occurred at camps at Decourcey Lake, Marks Lake, as well as other camps in the Boreal Road area.

All of the incidents occurred sometime during the week of November 24 to November 30 2013.

There had been forced entry to all of the camps involved and numerous items stolen.

Some of the further items reported stolen include, firearms, generators, chainsaws, and alcohol.

OPP advise all firearms must be safely secured at all times including at seasonal residences.
