THREE YOUTHS CHARGED BREAK AND ENTER

(TRENT HILLS, ON)- On Sunday November 17, 2013 Northumberland Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to report of a break and enter at a local golf and country club on County Road 30 in the Municipality of Trent Hills where three male youths were witnessed on the property.

OPP attended to the Pine Ridge Golf and Country Club at approximately 2:48 pm after being advised that three youths from a local group home had left without permission and were seen on the property by a youth worker. The worker checked out the area where the youths had fled from and found damage to the gazebo on a nearby green. A large shed across from the gazebo was found insecure.

A thorough investigation was conducted by the attending officers and the youths were located a short time later.

Two 15 year old male youths from Percy Township in the Municipality of Trent Hills, Ontario have been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and mischief under $5000 under the Criminal Code. Both accused are being held for a bail hearing in Youth Court of the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg, Ontario at 1:30 pm on Monday November 18, 2013. The males cannot be named under provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Joseph Michael McDONALD, age 18, from Percy Township, Municipality of Trent Hills, Ontario has been charged with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence and mischief under $5000. He was released on a promise to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brighton, Ontario on Tuesday January 7, 2014 at 9:30 am.
