Three Vehicle Collision – Drunk Driving Charge Laid

(LEAMINGTON, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to attend a three vehicle collision on December 18, 2015 at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Talbot Street West just east of Essex County Road 31 in Leamington.

Leamington Fire Service, as well as Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Service (EMS) attended the scene for assistance. No one was injured in the crash.

Police determined that the driver of a blue Ford caused the chain reaction collision and exhibited signs of impairment at the scene.

He was arrested and brought into police cells where he proceeded to cause mischief to the cells while he was lodged.

Cheyne ST. AMAND (male), age 23 of Leamington was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content as well as Mischief Under $5000. He will appear in a Leamington court on January 7, 2016 to answer to the charges.
