Three people charged and a variety of drugs seized in two warrants executions

(Ottawa) – On Thursday, October 8, 2015, the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Team, executed two simultaneous Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrants in the 700 block of Malibu Terrace and the 1200 block of Meadowlands Drive. The warrant executions were the culmination of an approximately three week long investigation.

Included in the items seized were:

1,986.9 grams of cocaine valued at $198,690.00.

6,634.94 grams of Cannabis marihuana valued at $95,474.00

81.6 grams of Cannabis resin valued at $2,040.00

1000 grams of MDMA valued at $100,000.00

6.8 grams of Psilocybin valued at $136.00

3.5 grams of crack cocaine valued at $700.00

$19,759.00 in Canadian currency

125 individual Ju Ju Joints valued at $10,250.00

5,600 male performance enhancement pills

As a result of the investigation Dung CHU (m), 32 years old, Heman HA (m), 33 years old and Kiera LE (f), 32 years old, all from Ottawa, face numerous charges.

CHU and HA are charged jointly with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance X 2 (MDMA and crack cocaine) contrary to Sec 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule II Substance X 2 (marihuana and cannabis resin) contrary to Sec 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of a Schedule I Substance contrary to Sec 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of a Schedule III Substance (Psilocybin)contrary to Sec 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 contrary to Sec 355 (b) of the Criminal Code

CHU and LE are charged jointly with:

Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) contrary to Sec 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of a Schedule II Substance (marihuana) contrary to Sec 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000.00 contrary to Sec 355 (b) of the Criminal Code

Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 contrary to Sec 355 (b) of the Criminal Code

HA was charged with:

CHU was charged with:

Possession of Proceeds of Crime under $5000.00 contrary to Sec 355 (b) of the Criminal Code

LE was charged with:

Possession of Proceeds of Crime over $5000.00 contrary to Sec 355 (b) of the Criminal Code

All three charged individuals were all held for Show Cause hearings on October 9, 2015.
