(Town of New Tecumseth, ON)- On Saturday, April 4th, 2015, at approximately 11:30 am, members of the Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a Break-Enter and Theft in the town of Beeton. Upon arrival, police were advised that three males, wearing disguises, had kicked through the front door, of an Apartment located in a building at 4 Main Street. They removed a 42” television from the living area .A witness provided a description of the suspects as well as a description of the suspect vehicle.
Following the initial investigation at the scene, officers patrolling the village of Beeton, located the suspect vehicle parked at Monsignor Ronan Catholic School on Lily Street. They kept observations of the vehicle, and a short time later, two males, who fit the descriptions of those involved, approached the vehicle. Police moved in and arrested the two male suspects. The third male was later observed walking on Dayfoot Street in Beeton. Following a search of his residence, the stolen television was located.
Three male persons ranging in age from 19 to 23 were arrested. Charges laid in this incident include:” Break and Enter of a dwelling house with intent to commit an Indictable offence”; “Theft under $5000.00” , “Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000.00” “ Resist peace officer”. And “Disguise with Intent”. All three were released and will appear in Court in Bradford on April 30th, 2015.
