(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Sunday, November 15, 2015 at approximately 6:02 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a two vehicle head-on collision on Hwy. 10, south of Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
Investigation revealed that a 2008 Pontiac G5T was travelling southbound on Hwy. 10 when it entered the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2008 Acura RDX.
The occupants of the Pontiac, a 22-year old male driver and a 20-year old female passenger, were air lifted to a London Hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. They were visiting the area from Israel.
The lone driver of the Acura, a 23-year old male from Toronto, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
The Grey Highlands Fire Department, Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) assisted at the scene.
Hwy. 10 between Road 120 and Road 130 was closed for approximately 4 hours for the safety of emergency responders.
The investigation is ongoing.
