(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON) – On the 22nd of January 2015, officers from the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to three separate residential break and enters in the Township of New Tecumseth. All three were committed during daylight hours, and during a time when people are at work and school.
The suspect(s) stole in total approximately $4,500 worth of electronics, jewelry, and collector figurines. All three break-ins have been linked to the same suspect(s) and the Nottawasaga Street Crime Unit are diligently investigating all suspect(s) and leads with other OPP Detachments. A potential suspect vehicle could be a white or blue van.
Police are asking the public to be vigilant about suspicious persons or vehicles in or around your residence or neighbourhood, and to contact police at 1-888-310-1122 to make a report. When it is safe to do so, attempt to obtain a licence plate number and a description of the suspicious vehicle in order to assist officers responding. Typically offenders will be making observations of routines, and by changing it you can discourage them from victimizing your home.
