Three Children Arrested For Burning Down Barn

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Three youths are currently facing charges following a barn fire on Carriage Road in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.

On December 7, 2014 at approximately 1:28 p.m., Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Middlesex Centre Fire crews responded to a fully engulfed barn fire on Carriage Road in Middlesex Centre. In response to information received, the OPP Canine Unit was activated and a search of the area was conducted. As a result of the search, three male youths were apprehended.

The three youths, age 13, 13, and 14 are each facing one count of Arson – Damage to Property under the Criminal Code of Canada. The youths have been released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear in a London courtroom January 12, 2015 to speak to the charges.

There were no injuries reported in the fire.
