(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Friday the 02nd of January 2015, officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a R.I.D.E. check in the Highland Grove area. Officers observed a vehicle that appeared to be avoiding the R.I.D.E. check and stopped it. Investigation revealed that the 3 males in the vehicle were in possession of marihuana. As a result of the incident 1 adult male and 2 male young persons were arrested and charged. A small quantity of marihuana and drug paraphernalia were seized.
A 20 year old male of Bancroft, Ontario has been charged with possession of marihuana and fail to comply with probation. He was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 17th of February 2015.
A 17 year old male young person of Bancroft, Ontario has been charged with possession of marihuana and fail to comply with probation. He was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 19th of February 2015.
A 17 year old male young person of Dysart et al, Ontario has been charged with possession of marihuana. He was released from custody on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 19th of February 2015.
The names of the persons involved cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
